If you are looking for a place to enjoy authentic Neapolitan pizza and other Italian specialties in Seattle, you should check out Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria in South Lake Union. Tutta Bella is the first certified Neapolitan pizzeria in the Northwest and has been serving delicious wood-fired pizzas, salads, pastas, soups, desserts and cocktails since 2004.
Tutta Bella is located at 2200 Westlake Ave, in the heart of the vibrant South Lake Union neighborhood. It is a spacious and cozy restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. You can dine in the main dining room, the bar area, or the private dining room that can accommodate up to 40 guests. It was a very pleasant evening, and we chose to sit at a table on the outdoor patio, which had a view of the lake and the city skyline – including the iconic Space Needle.
The menu at Tutta Bella features a variety of pizzas made with imported Italian ingredients and cooked in a traditional wood-fired oven. You can choose from classic pizzas like Margherita, Marinara, Quattro Formaggi, or Diavola, or try some of their signature pizzas like Tutta Bella, Sofia, Vesuvio, or Carne Piccante. You can also create your own pizza with your choice of toppings. We tried 3 different pizzas – the Campania and the Leonardo, which are both red pizzas, and my daughter chose the Mushroom and Cream which was outstanding.
If you are not in the mood for pizza, as was the case with my husband, you can order one of their other dishes like lasagna, spaghetti carbonara, gnocchi al pesto, or pollo arrosto. He is a big mushroom fan and opted for the Spaghetti D’Abruzzo, which did not disappoint. You can also enjoy one of their salads like insalata mista, caprese, or cesare as an appetizer or meal, depending on which size you choose. The same is true with their soups, and we all started with the hearty minestrone. For dessert, you can indulge in some of the favorites such as gelato, tiramisu, cannoli, or panna cotta. We went rogue and tried the Sticky Toffee Cake, which is described as “traditional warm and sticky cake, caramel sauce, whipped cream, crunchy salt”. It definitely could be shared and was quite tasty. We also tried the Nutella gelato on the friendly waiter’s recommendation, which was delicious.
To complement your meal, you can also order some of their drinks like wine, beer, cocktails, espresso, or soda. They have a happy hour from 3 pm to 6 pm and 9 pm to close every day, where you can get discounts on selected food and drinks.
Tutta Bella is open every day from 11 am to 10 pm. You can make a reservation online or by calling (206) 624-4422. You can also order online for takeout or delivery.
Tutta Bella is more than just a restaurant. It is a place where you can experience the culture and cuisine of Naples in Seattle. It is a place where you can share good food and good times with your friends and family. It is a place where you can feel at home.
